..... These are all speculative ideas. I believe that the right person, reading these passages, might find them useful and interesting enough to pursue. These things could be toys of the very well to do, or provide a useful means of surveying landscapes for a variety of reasons.

Skyak

..... This is a kyak like transport device, which is lofted up by two large cylindrical gas balloons. It would, to some degree, look akin to the classic Star Trek vessel without the saucer section.

- The cylindrical lifters would contain helium, much safer and with the capacity to heat the gas the flight time could be quite long.

- There would be solar panels, the newest thinnest kind, as an auxiliary power source, on the exterior of the cylinders.

- The pilot would have access to a bicycle type of power train which would allow the pilot to propel the vessel directly via a stepped up gearing system provding motive force to a propeller or to generate electrical current and mechanical energy to power a heat exchanger unit and move the helium from inside the lifters, through the exchanger back into the lifters, this would allow some control over the vessels altitude. Alternately, if the vessel was anchored, its propellers could changed over to run a charging system.

An altitudinal access device, which would be a well-engineered version of the rude constructs made by legendary idiots who, by attaching a goodly number of lighter than air balloons to a lawn chair, have attained very high elevations, albeit as they became a danger to others and themselves. This would not be that. This would be a comfy, warm, safe means to float above the earth and feel the wind in your hair. A person may obtain a height of a few hundred feet fairly safely, enjoying the view and, perhaps some very fine dining.

..... Another altitudinal access device, this one would be used for sleeping. The safety concerns would have to be addressed in the design, of course, but the purpose is to allow someone to sleep at altitude, with as much fresh air as possible.

But why?

..... These inventions would be a profitable venture for an innovator, inventor, and venture capitalist. Governments could make use of these devices for various purposes, both innocent and not, I suppose.
